Our History

League & Invitational

Since the 1970s

We've gone by a few names over the years, but our core group of golfers has remained steadfast in their love of the game. While our roots trace back to the 1970s, our mission has evolved: we've shifted from competing for trophies to raising funds for those battling ALS. We're proud of our history, but we're always looking forward - finding new ways to play, grow, and give back. Now as an official 501(c)(3), we expect to grow bigger and help even more people than ever before.

Why we raise money
for ALS families...

In Honor of Richard Aubuchon

A heartfelt thank you
from our family to yours.

A beloved husband, father and grandfather, who was passionate about the game of golf! Richard, or Papa as we refer to him, was fortunate enough to play across Arizona, throughout the country and even around the world, traveling to Scotland to experience the birth of the sport.

Back in 2014, Papa was diagnosed with a form of aLS- and doctors said he would be in a wheelchair within a year. He surprised everyone by continuing to walk until the day he passed away in 2020, after he was unable to recover from a fall.

That year, we dedicated the end-of-year tournament to him and began raising money to help other families like ours who need help navigating this terrible disease. Papa was the most incredible man and we are so grateful to carry on his legacy this way.
